I do accept direct referrals from family doctors and specialists. My goal is not to replace your expertise. Rather it is to compliment it and help you to help your patients achieve both weight loss and management of their diabetes.

I depend upon your expertise to approve all Diabetic Weight Management plans I create for your patients and to closely monitor their condition. If the three of us work together we can achieve favorable results. The first proof that your patient's Diabetic Weight Management plan is working will be that their medication may have to be adjusted downwards.

This adjustment may not be specifically for diabetic medication. It may be for other health problems they may be experiencing. As your patient's health improves their need for medication may also become dramatically reduced. This is to be expected.

Unfortunately, none of us have control over what the body chooses to heal first and what has priority. Therefore it would not be prudent to expect your patient's diabetic medication to be the first medication to be adjusted.

I will be happy to provide you with monthly updates. I prefer to give these updates directly to your patient and have them review the reports with you. This ensures that your patient sees you on a regular basis and that you're kept apprised as to their progress.

I understand that you may have a concern with patient confidentiality and may be curious to how my private communication system works. I'd be happy to demonstrate this for you. You'll find that this meets HIPAA compliance for Internet dissemination of medical information.

It is extremely rare that we ever need to speak directly with each other. However, if you should need to consult with me directly I have an 800# and I will be happy to take your call. The 800# is on the Diabetic Weight Management plan you approved for your patient. If this is your first referral, please submit a support ticket and I'll provide you with the 800#.
