Diabetic Weight Loss

FAQ Page 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,

Q: I heard that you worked with someone who had lupus and they're doing much better. I am in constant agony from lupus but I don't have diabetes. Can you help me?
A: The person you're referring to is my cousin who's had lupus since she was a child. Although I was able to help her and she's doing very well, Lupus really isn't my specialty. The Diabetic Weight Management program would be a good start but working with someone with Lupus requires daily in-home (for lack of a better word) treatments three times a day. Each one takes about two hours. You might be able to find a local holistic practitioner who specializes in working with Lupus clients. Just make sure that you remain under a doctor's care. There is no "cure" for Lupus but you may experience a remission.

Q: My doctor wants me to first go to a registered dietitian. Can you give me some hints as to what to look for in a dietitian or perhaps what not to look for?
A: I think I understand your question. You want to have a criteria to help you determine if the dietitian is competent or not. As with all professionals people have various levels of competency, knowledge and skill. Simply having a certification or license only proves they can pass a test. I can't tell you what to do but what I would do is ask them, "What vegetable family does the tomato belong to?" If they don't immediately correct you and tell you that a tomato is a fruit then the rest of their info is suspect. If they recommend grains even if it's whole grains then their info is suspect because it is a documented fact that grains supress the thyroid which in turn causes weight gain. If they refer to the government "food pyramid" then run don't walk away. If their recommendations are based on the RDA rather than the ODA then that's also a very HUGE clue. (Recommended Daily Allowance vs Optimal Daily Allowance". If they suggest "diet food" or "low fat" or "low carbs" these are also good clues they may not have a lot of experience with diabetics. If they tell you that the vitamins or supplements at your local grocery store are just as good as a health food store then they really have no clue. Just my personal opinion.

Q: I'm not sure I like going to the bathroom so much. Is there any way to control this?
A: Hmmmm...think of it this way. Every time you go to the bathroom you're ridding yourself of fat and toxic material. Is there a reason why you would want to keep this in your body? If not, then let your body get rid of it. BTW: If you feel the need for a bowel movement go immediately. Don't wait. That's one of the reasons people get into trouble is because they train their bowels not to go when they're supposed to. Most healthy people have a bowel movement within 30 to 45 minutes of eating their meal. Unhealthy people try to hold their bowel movements until it's convenient for them. They end up having only one bowel movement ever two or three days and wonder why they don't feel well.

Q: My Diabetic Weight Management program is awesome. I am losing weight and I've learned how to eat correctly. Not only that you were right, I was thirsty not hungry. How long will it take me to train my body to know the difference?
A: The fact that you're aware is a good start. Actually you really won't have to train your body as long as you keep yourself well-hydrated. That's one of the "secrets" of losing weight is to tell the difference. As long as you keep yourself hydrated then when you feel hungry you probably are.

Q: I don't understand how fluoride can be dangerous. If it's that dangerous then why do they use it in the water. Doesn't it help protect our teeth against cavities?
A: You'd be surprised at how often I get asked about the fluoride and teeth connection. You already know the dangers of fluoride but if you are to believe the propaganda that the reason they place it into your water is for your teeth then you have to ask yourself, "Isn't that what the fluoride in my toothpaste supposed to do?" You see if it was a simple matter of adding fluoride to our water to keep us from cavities we wouldn't need toothpaste or toothbrushes. All we would have to do is drink the tap water. But that isn't the case is it? Note how white your teeth are and how free they are from plaque with the toothpaste I suggested? It doesn't have any fluoride or caustic acids but your teeth are probably cleaner than they have ever been.

Q: I understand that colloidal silver is an excellent way to fend of colds and flu. Can you explain to me how it might work? Do you sell any?
A: First, you have to be careful as to where you're getting the colloidal silver. Most health store brands contain little to no silver. Second, ignore the hype on color. Most health store brands add coloring and other impurities to their water. The best way is to make it yourself. It's really not that difficult. You can build yourself a generator with silver wire for less than $49. (It's really easy) Make sure you use only .9999% fine silver. Never, ever use sterling silver because it contains nickel. The only other item is a nasal container. I don't recommend that you do this but I go to my local Dollar General and pick up their brand of nasal spray. Go home, gently pry off the top, rinse the bottle really well, and then partially fill it with the colloidal silver. Then if I am around people who are sick I can pull out my nasal spray and spray into both of my nostrils. I make colloidal silver for myself. It's better for you to make it yourself.

Q: Ok, here's the story I am a 325lb man who is also diabetic. I seem to continue to gain weight no matter how hard I try to lose it. I'm in my late 20's and have a daughter that I love very much. Although I'm divorced I try to be active in my daughter's life and don't want to leave her with out a father. I'm currently taking insulin shots to control my diabetes but it just seems to out of control. Dr Simmens recommended this website. I like what you have to offer but frankly I can't afford you. I don't have health insurance and just about everything is going to pay for my insulin shots. Although I can't afford your program do you think there's anyway that you could give me a consultation and some tips on what I might do to regain control? I'm really desperate. I don't want to die. Would you consider payments? I promise you that I will make sure you're paid.
A: Ron, you sound like a very sincere man and I can fully empathize with your situation and your frustration with losing weight. Since you're being referred to me by Dr. Simmens I'm sure we can work out something to help you. HOWEVER, I want you to know up front that there are no guarantees. My program is designed for those who are not on insulin or who have just started. Those on insulin for a period of time of longer than a year usually don't get off of it. I understand about health insurance. I don't have it myself. And, I understand that you're struggling financially. I live in the same world you do where cost of living keeps going up while all of us live on a fixed income. If you get Dr. Simmens permission I'll provide you with a phone consultation. I can provide you much of the information you need by faxing my recommendations directly to Dr. Simmens. However, you're going to have to depend upon your determination to stick with the recommendations. It is lso critically important that you review all recommendations with Dr. Semmins prior to implementing them. I don't believe he will have any problems with the recommendations but he knows your health condition and risks much better than I do. As far as payment, I'll work with you. I'm sending you an email for a time and date to call you.

Q: I know I'm supposed to drink an 8oz glass of water an hour but is there really a difference in water. Isn't water just water?
A: Probably the most dangerous water you can drink is "tap water" from the faucet. It contains fluoride, arsnic, nickel and a host of other chemicals and nasties that can effect your heatlh. Depending upon where you live your "tap water" probably smells or taste bad or is brownish. All of this tells you that it contains impurities. After you drink the water the way I recommend you prepare it for a week ask yourself this, "How much better do I feel?"

Q: I have a quick question, recently our town declared a "boil order". Both my husband and I became violently sick prior to the order. The doctor tells me that I may have contracted giardia. Will this interfere with my Diabetic Weight Management Program?
A: Unfortunately, giardia is going to become an increasingly pronounced problem here in the United States with the droughts, floods and hurricanes. If you follow the protocol of your Diabetic Weight Management program you should see the symptoms of giardia lessen. Some people have reported that taking colloidal silver at the 160ppm level killed the giardia but this is anecdotal. Your best bet might be to repeat your colon cleanse. Consult your doctor if you continue to have problems.

Q: I'm going to a special doctor who is treating me for lyme disease. He has me on a protocol of high antibiotics some of which makes me sick. Do you think this protocol will work for me?
A: I've looked at the research and the protocol. Keeping in mind that this is beyond my specialty and I am not a licensed medical doctor I can only give you my personal opinion based upon my own research. Their group still hasn't settled upon a protocol mostly because the disease seems to be evolving and devolving. If you look at the document you sent me you'll note it states this is experimental and the protocols are still in the research phase. Nothing wrong with that. Much of my work is in a similar state. However, the problem that I personally would have if I were going through this protocol is that the antibiotics tend to increase the yeast infections (candida) and introduce more pathogens into your system. This doesn't make much sense from a holistic point of view. They're increasing one pathogen (candida) in an attempt to kill another. It would make more sense to try to kill all the pathogens or at least kill the one they're after without making another stronger. Just my personal opinion. I would suggest that you contact other licensed medical specialists in this area and get their opinion.

Q: I like what I've read on your site so far but I have one question for you. Is this some type of therapy?
A: This would depend upon your personal definition of therapy. My protocol is divided into three basic systems which your doctor will approve of in advance. The first is exercise. Which one you do will depend upon your health and ability. All the exercises I recommend will be as "safe" as possible. The second is detoxification of your body. You will use products that your body can tolerate and are considered "safe" by the majority of the population who uses them. Finally, food choices what foods to eat and when. As I will not be present when you exercise, choose the product you'll use for detoxification or cook your meals your custom Diabetic Weight Management program may not termed as being "therapy". Ultimately under your custom Diabetic Weight Management program you must take responsibility for yourself, your health and your well-being. You know more about your body then any one else will ever know. You must decide if something is right or safe for you. Your custom Diabetic Weight Management program is a self-administered program. Meaning you have ultimate control and responsibility of what you do or don't do. Think of it this way. Let's say that I manufacture and sell video cameras. When you purchase one of my video cameras I also provide you with a manual on how to use your video camera. However, I can't be responsible if you place the camera on the stove and it explodes or you take porn movies and get arrested or you accidentally drop the video camera or take it apart.

Q: I just came back from one of your health seminars. I really liked the fact that you didn't have a presentation and simply answered questions from the audience. Most speakers at your support group seem to hide behind their Powerpoint Presentations. You mentioned something about conducting research in other areas besides diabetes. Can I ask what other areas you're researching and how you fund your research? Also you mentioned some woman who had cancer but I didn't catch all of that.
A: I've been researching TBI and MS along with Fibromyalgia for about 18 years. Research is very slow because of funding. I self-fund all of my research projects which as you can guess gets highly expensive. Occasionally someone will hire me to research a holistic protocol for a specific illness such as Lupus but for the most part I pay for my own research. As for the woman you mentioned she had throat cancer. I had just begun the research for her when she suddenly passed away due to improper medication she was given by her attending physician. At the moment, I'm also doing some research on rheumatoid arthritis for a client. She is starting to have some success but it's still too early to tell.
